Make a Joyful Noise

Make a Joyful Noise

“I couldn't sleep last night so I got up and wrote a new song, "Make a Joyful Noise". I wanted to mix in an upbeat, very uplifting song with plenty of soul and a significant horn section. I want to prove to/remind myself that we can and should give God all the praise and glory even in the midst of our trials. We win in the end, and even in the process of a trial. God is with us. Like the Psalms 98 and 100 say, we should make a joyful sound to our Lord.” - Kevin C. Moore

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE

By Kevin C. Moore (August 25, 2026)

VERSE 1

Lord, we don’t know when this trial will end, But still our voices rise again. Some days are heavy, some nights run long, Yet You keep giving us a brand‑new song.

PRE‑CHORUS

Grace in the shadows, mercy in the fight, You turn our trembling into dancing light. Even in the valley, You steady our choice — To lift our hearts and raise our voice.

CHORUS

We make a joyful noise — let the horns ring out. Joy in the chaos — we lift a grateful shout. You give us strength to sing, You give our hearts a choice. Even in the trial, we make a joyful noise.

VERSE 2

Some days the memories fade and fall, But Your love holds us through it all. You paint a silver lining on the darkest skies, And spark a little hope in tired eyes.

BRIDGE

(Noise!) You give us courage. (Rejoice!) You give us grace. (Voice!) You keep us singing Right here in this place.

Joy is our weapon, praise is our stand. You hold our story in Your perfect hand.

FINAL CHORUS

We make a joyful noise — let the horns ring out. Joy in the chaos — we lift a grateful shout. Even in the valley, we make a joyful noise.

TAG

We make a joyful noise.
